Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is launched partially in Oct 2019. It is the latest chapter in the game series featuring the eternal conflict between the relentless zombies and the relentlessly upbeat armies of plants. After the initial rollout, new modes and features would be added over a six-week time to reach the full release by the end of Oct.
The full release of PvZ contains six online multiplayer modes, including 20 customizable character classes such as the Snapdragon spits fire to defeat zombies while on the other team the Action Hero brings few words and thoughts but more of the action.
New plant characters are developed including mysterious Night Cap, fiery Snapdragon, and team players Oak and Acorn, in addition to the original favorites, like Peashooter, Sunflower, etc. On the zombie side, players must deal with classic fun-dead characters and new brain biters such as Electric Slide, or team player Space Cadet. With this wildest customizations, players can add upgrades, and put stamp on success with custom Victory Slabs for every vanquish.
The new version features three separate free-roam areas namely Neighborville Town Center, Mount Steep, and Weirding Woods as well as a new social area called Giddy Park. Each of them has ridiculous quests, vibrant cosmetics and a familiar cast of characters. The social area has a target range, amusement park rides, and light multiplayer battles. Last but not least, there will be transformative monthly events with unique challenges and unlockable cosmetics, beginning with the Lawn of Doom Festival.
The defending team of plants looks all cute, especially the previous shooter in the series, Garden Warfare which is undeniably more mainstream than tower defense.
